Meet our student ambassador

Jai

Hi, I am Jai. I am 16 years old, and I study Level 3 Film, Videography and Photography, and I am also in Year 1 at Access Creative College. I really enjoy this college for many reasons, such as:

  1. The course – it’s fun, it’s full of knowledge I didn’t have prior, and I enjoy it.
  1. All my tutors have been amazing in helping with my development in both film and photography. Paddy, Tyler and Michael have massively helped me get the skills in this industry I have now, and it’s only been 4 months since I started college, and yet I feel far more confident in my skills
  1. My classmates, in my opinion, are one of, if not the main, of my primary reasons for enjoying this college so much. I am mates with everyone in my class, and this also means I am more than settled here, as I have a strong friend group.

Interesting Fact

Jilly's

Jilly’s (later known as Jilly’s Rockworld) was a legendary Manchester nightclub that permanently closed in 2010. It was located at 65 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6EQ.  Originally known as Rafters in the 1970s, the venue was renamed Jilly’s in 1983. It became a hub for the alternative music scene (rock, metal, goth, alternative) and was known for its all-nighter events on Fridays. The club was famous for its multi-room setup, allowing patrons to enjoy different music genres in separate areas, and for selling Pot Noodles at the bar during early morning hours.
