How to

find us 

Access Creative College Birmingham is located off Digbeth High Street on Heath Mill Lane, around a 10-minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station, and 5 minutes from the Custard Factory. We have two buildings that sit opposite one another, and both can be accessed via a ground-floor entrance.

  • 2 / 3 / 5 / 6 / 17 / 50 / 60 / 97 / X1 / X2
  • Any bus that is via Birmingham City Centre.
  • Access Creative College is a 15-20 min walk from 3 local stations: Grand Central Station (station stop Birmingham New Street), Moor Street Station & Snow Hill.
  • Grand Central Station has plenty of places to pick up breakfast. 
  • Birmingham also has a West Midlands Metro service.
  • Birmingham is at the heart of the UK motorway network, linked by the M5, M6, M40 and M42. 
  • The A34 and A38 further add to your options, and the M1 is less than 30 minutes away. If you want to avoid traffic from the city centre, you can also go via the M6 Toll Road. 
  • Car Parks: Parking outside the centre requires a permit. There are a few Ringo ‘Pay as you Go’ spots around Digbeth, but our nearest car parks are Trinity Street Car Park (located opposite the college) and Zellig Car Park, which is in the Custard Factory.

Our Learner Services Manager or Assistant Head of Support leads a team who offer a safe, confidential space where you can focus on your personal growth through one-to-one sessions or easy drop-ins — whatever works for you.

Each campus also has a number of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) to help and support you with any safety or wellbeing concerns. All staff are safeguarding trained, so you can approach anyone for advice or support. The DSLs will make sure you get the right help, whether that’s check-ins, external referrals, or signposting to useful resources, including the Hub of Hope.

Our recording studio features an Audient 4816 small-format analogue mixing console, MOTU professional-grade audio interfaces and a curated selection of premium analogue outboard hardware, including VCA, FET, and optical compression, alongside a Kemper Profiling Amplifier for world-class guitar tone capture and re-amping.

Progress Works Media Centre

Our Progress Works Media Centre used to be the home North One Television, where the likes of The Gadget Show and Fifth Gear were made. Now it has been transformed into a dedicated workspace for our Graphics and Film, Videography & Photography students, featuring a photography studio and darkroom.
