Games students in Manchester talk positively about the software they get to use, mostly Autodesk Maya, which is a professional, industry-standard 3D computer graphics software used for modelling, animation, rendering, and simulation. It is widely favoured by film studios, game developers, and VFX artists for creating high-end visual effects and complex character animations.
Interesting Fact
Jilly’s (later known as Jilly’s Rockworld) was a legendary Manchester nightclub that permanently closed in 2010. It was located at 65 Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 6EQ. Originally known as Rafters in the 1970s, the venue was renamed Jilly’s in 1983. It became a hub for the alternative music scene (rock, metal, goth, alternative) and was known for its all-nighter events on Fridays. The club was famous for its multi-room setup, allowing patrons to enjoy different music genres in separate areas, and for selling Pot Noodles at the bar during early morning hours.
