Hi, I’m Matt, Head of Campus here at Access Creative College Plymouth, and I’d like to welcome you to both our college and the new Student Hub!

Our Plymouth Campus features a number of Mac Labs, a Games Lab with high-spec Gaming PCs and equipment, industry-standard Music Production Studios, Live Rooms, and individual performance spaces. Our Common Room also has a games console for learners to enjoy on lunch breaks and in between sessions. We also offer bookings of rooms and equipment to further your practice and skills development throughout your studies with us!

 

As you prepare to join us in September, the Student Hub is here to help you stay connected with everything happening at Access Creative College Plymouth. It’s your space to explore upcoming local events, allowing you to visit campus, meet people, and get involved before your course officially begins.

 

Within the Student Hub, you’ll find a range of free, relevant resources designed to help you get a head start on your course. This includes Alumni Stories from former students who have gone on to successful careers in the creative industries, examples of Student Work to inspire you, and much more to support you as you take your next steps.

 

We’ll be updating Student Hub regularly between now and September, so be sure to check back in. Hope you enjoy the platform.

We want you to feel supported during your time with us, and we’re committed to helping you thrive. Our Learner Services Manager or Assistant Head of Support leads a team who offer a safe, confidential space where you can focus on your personal growth through one-to-one sessions or easy drop-ins — whatever works for you.

Each campus also has a number of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) to help and support you with any safety or wellbeing concerns. All staff are safeguarding trained, so you can approach anyone for advice or support. The DSLs will make sure you get the right help, whether that’s check-ins, external referrals, or signposting to useful resources, including the Hub of Hope.

Your campus-specific Designated Safeguarding Leads are listed below and are available to support you directly.

Used widely for game asset modelling, Blender is a free 3D creation software that allows developers to create, texture, and animate 3D models optimised for game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine (all of which our Games students use at Access Creative College!).
